can you identify this military jacket?

I am posting this because someone sent me an Email asking me "can you identify this military jacket?" I told him it is either East or West German, can anyone give anymore insight on this? Thanks ALLOT!!!

I am guessing its East German Panzer

it looks like a west german bundeswehr gebirgsdivision jacket- gebirgsartillerie to be exact (for enlisted men)

no- that was my first impression- but it isnt- the buttons would be hidden on one like that- it is definitely not east german- i think on closer inspection that its a normal bundeswehr artillery jacket (Dienstjacke) that has been strangely cut off above the lower pockets.... very strange thing..

Yes, it's a cut-down Bundeswehr EM's tunic - artillerie. Probably for some theatre group as a costume.
