Australian Bowie Knife. Japanese capture and back

Here is something any WW2 knife nut will enjoy seeing. It is a Australian copy of the famous US made CASE bowie knife. Look closely at the tag, it reads: Off Jap Sgt. Tinian or Saipan. Louis B Sass Maj USA MASH Unit
One would surmise the Japanese Sgt took this off a Australian soldier dead or alive. The inside snap reads AUSTRALIA. Is still deadly sharp! One of my most prized WW2 blades
