Any british medal collectors able to tell me if this man is entitled to a medal? he left hong kong before 1900?

Richie, thanks for the interest. I've scoured already with no luck. His service records show him as a pte. R.A. RA/83478 Thomas James mcloughlin, he must have reinlisted as I have a photo of him as a sergeant R.G.A. the records I have before says he enlisted 1891 to 1903. Singapore 1895 and hong kong 6/nov/1898 to 22/April/1899. Mainly I wanted to know if this time in China would entitle him to a China service medal? Even if before 1900.

I don’t think your man qualifies for the China 1900 Medal as the qualifying period was 10 June to 31 December 1900 during the Boxer Rebellion fighting.

I checked the Medal Roll but couldn’t find him.
