That looks like an 1822 pattern British Cavalry Sword. It was used I think until shortly before World War One.

                Hi Byrne,

                Thank you!!

                It´s possible discover the unit?

                I find that a date exists...."18 U.4.38"....will be 1938?

                Regards,

                Ricardo.

If that is a date, it would more likely be 1838 (if photo #6 is of a VR cipher).

The nearest I can come up with as a unit from SRR is Royal Southern Reserve Regiment, a reserve unit of the Anglo - Boer war period - but they were infantry & this is a cavalry sword..............
I know little about swords, but now I've taken time to look at the markings I don't think that this is British - perhaps German / Belgian?

                      Hi there!
It's a prussian Model 1852 Cavalry Sword for a Trooper.
3SSR is for "3. Schweres Reiter Regiment" (3rd Heavy Cavalry Regiment).
                      Regards
                      Nicholas
