Can anyone ID this pouch? China Burma OSS photos too!

Can anyone ID this pouch, I was wondering map case? Sorry I don't have it at the moment to measure it. I can if needed.
I don't think it is US. It came from a veteran of the China Burma campaign who was a medic in the OSS detachment 101.

Also here is a photo of either a Brit our Aussie?

          Indian Gurka?

Must have been a tough fighter. He has a Kukri knife. Back of photos says "Lil Duwa!!!
Most have been well know to the group.

            Are these Indian troops?

Look at the hat badges. What are they?

The city is in China, judging by the language of the signs, not India or Burma. The trio in the hats are members of the Assam Rifles. 'Little Duwa' is an NCO or Indian Officer in the Indian Army and, despite the kukri, probably not a Gurkha, as those weapons were carried by many members of the jungle forces. They also feature in the badge of the Assam Rifles, which recruited large numbers of Gurkhas. The AR fought against the Japanese both in open battles and by organizing resistance in Japanese occupied Burma, forming part of what was called 'Victor Force' or 'V Force' in WWII. Very nice photos!

thanks for the info on the pictures! If someone can read Chinese, it would be interesting to know what the signs say.
Anyone seen a pouch like this?
