    Canadian Parachute Corps Challenge Coin?

I purchased this as a Canadian Airborne Challenge Coin but when I got it home I realized it's Canadian Parachute Corps. I think I found the original owner....Kenneth Weaver. When were these coins made?

I suspect that they were made sometime in the 50s when the battalion association started up.

I can tell you that L/Cpl Ken A Weaver qualified as a parachutist at Ringway in the UK on October 18, 1943. He was with A Company, took part in the D-Day drop and was wounded on June 10, 1944. There are no further records of him with the battalion, so he likely returned to Canada.

Thanks Gary. Same regimental number? Have you seen others like it?

Yes, same regimental number. Yes, I have had veterans show them to me in the past, but I don't have one in my collection to compare.
