Question:
These common enamelled water bottles come in olive green and cobalt blue.
Are the colours from any particular date? I've been looking on ebay and the green ones tend to be later (WW2 and after despite the '44 pattern coming in), and the blue ones seem earlier issue.
There are also two main carriers, one a 'skeleton' type, and one covering the whole canteen. Both are '37 pattern I believe but which is later (if any).
Opinions (or evidence!) welcome.
