Night Vision Gear

Does anybody ha some knowledge about british NVG?
I got a Bag full of Counter Balance Weights NSN 5855-99-676-5388.
for what Instrument is it and on what helmet is it used.
It has some Velcro attached to both sides. Hook on the Helmet and loop on the other side.
Tomorrow I add some pics.

this is the only clear-ish pic of nvg in use by the british army!

also heres various pics of british soldiers in Afghanistan if you look you see some of them have ngv mounts, i know the mich mount works on the mk6 british lid and mk7!
