    Badges and stuff...

My small local thrift store called and had this stuff set aside for me.

Not too knowledgeable with the Brit stuff so I hope get a hand on some of them.

Really curious about the tree branch looking one, know ive seen it before somewhere.

    Cheers

I suspect that most of these are Canadian, as there are certainly a fair number which aren't British.
Of the British ones, many are self explanatory, i.e,
Running horse is Queens Own Hussars
Three cannons on shield is Royal Army Ordnance Corps
Wheel and crossed Rifles is Army Cyclists Corps
Two superimposed heads is Artists Rifles
Horse rampant is Royal West Kents

The less self explanatory ones include:
Skull and crossbones - 17/21 Lancers
Stylised horse figure (white horse of Uffington) - Berkshire Yeomanry
Cross with deer in centre - Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Regt.
A & SH - Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders shoulder title
Crossed flags - sleeve badge for signaller
Flaming grenade - Royal Engineers collar dog
      Harp - Royal Ulster Constabulary

      Can't comment on authenticity.

Hmm the Canadian badges have some rare ones there me thinks.

Like to see a close up of the medal.

C.E.F. 6th Duke of Connaught's is a rarer badge. The other Cnd badges are more common.

Assuming most of the Brit badges are fairly common ones too and nothing standing out.

The medal is some 1900 Canadian school award. Will get a better pic of it later.

The harp badge could be london irish rifles or ww2 Ulster home guard. As far as i can recall the RUC did not use sliders and had the harp strings voided.

The Horse double scroll top right = 20th Bn The London Regt
Crown over APC = Army Pay Corps
Crown on Cross with deer in the centre = Notts & Derby Regt
Large white metal badge right side = Border Regt
The small brass grenade is the universal pattern worn by many Regiments as a collar badge and part of the shoulder title.

Spacing and numbering the badges would help.

It looks to me as if the whole top row is British Columbia WWI badges and collars. here are some IDs.

                C16 = 16th Bttn [Cdn Scottish] [BC]
                29th CEF = Vancouver Battalion
Moose Head = 4th Cdn Mounted Rifle Regiment
30th British Columbia Horse + BC CANADA WWI, formerly BC Dragoons
DCO = British Columbia Regiment [Duke of Connaught's Own]

                48th Highlanders [Cdn]

There was some 72 Seaforth items but an employee there was former and wanted to keep those ones.

Top also has the 79th and 102 CEF.

I assume most of the brit badges are common and nothing standing out?

The 79th were the Seaforths of Canada and the 109th the Victoria and Haliburton Battalion, from the Lindsay, Ontario area. Some rather nice pieces in there though nothing that leaps out as a super rarity. Either way, a very nice haul!
