HI would like some feed back on this slip on please , can any one confirm that it was worn by one of the parachute battalions in WW.2 ?
It has been discussed on a badge forum and these details came to light ,
In my view unlikely to be post-War (13 Para (TA) was subtitled Lancashire, not South Lancashire), but the original WW2 13 Para was formed by the conversion of 2/4 South Lancs. But the slip on could have been worn by any battalion of the South Lancs who were flexible in their adherence to dress regulations - particularly in India and/or the Far East.
would just like to know either way before offering them up for sale .
as always thank you .
