Here's another RAF miniature medal group attributed to Group Capt Alfred Victor Bax.
He was awarded the AFM on 1 Jan 1931 for outstanding merit while serving with 47 (Bomber) Squadron, Middle East Command and important flights, notably with HRH The Prince of Wales, in the Sudan and in the anti-locust campaign.
The CBE was awarded on 6 March 1953.
Of interest is the lack of a LSGC and the incorrectly mounted AFM ribbon, a fairly common mistake.
The two campaign bars are very pertinent to current military activities.
