Royal Corps of Signal Lcl L.V Younie Service Dress

    Bonjour,

Weather was sunny today and took time to take some pictures.

This SD belonged to the LCL LV Younie who served as Lt during the WWI with the 7th Battalion Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders.

This jacket comes from a large grouping unfortunately spread. If someone has items named to the LCL LV Younie.
In any case, hope you enjoy.

    Cheers

It might be rather difficult locating the rest of his items, particularly if they went to several different collectors.
At any rate, that is a very nice Royal Signal Corps Lieutenant Colonel's service dress tunic to a man served in both wars. His ww1 victory ribbon has a Mentioned in Dispatches leaf on it. He also apparently saw action in the Northwest Frontier (Afghanistan) between the wars and served in Italy during ww2. In all, he probably did 30 years!
Although we cant make out the tailors label, this is a typical ww2 made tunic in Barathea wool.
