    American Sniper

Just got back from the first showing at my local theatre. Great movie, I highly recommend it. Bradley Copper was amazing as Chris Kyle!
    Looking for a 30 '06 Chauchat magazine.

              Wow ... no nitpickers (yet)?
The shade of khaki isn't perfect? The insurgents speak with a non-Iraq dialect ... surely there has to be something wrong !!!

Saw it too ... nice to see a movie that lived up to expectations. Only one weird thing ... first time for a long time I have seen animated babies ... couldn't afford the "real" thing?

              ... Ooops I'm nitpicking ...

That fake baby stood out to me too ! I think they used CGI first and then a prop for the rest of the scene. There were one or two other points in the movie where the CGI was not quite up to scratch. Some aerial shots where the vehicles seemed to move a bit artificially and that sort of thing. Overall it didn't impact much on the movie though.

The fake M1 Abrams threw me a little. Looked OK from a distance.

                    Good movie.

Yes, reminds me somewhat of Heinz-Wolfgang Schnaufer. He literally went to hell and back, defying all the odds, to survive WWII. Only to be killed in a car accident a few years after the war. RIP
