I received this book for Christmas. I have to admit...I'm quite enjoying it. It's straightforward. Easy to read. Explains things well. Isn't overly simplified...and the little insert packages with facsimile historical documents is just pure fun. There are also a couple of posters included in the package.
It's also not overly gory...so great for youngsters who are learning their history.
