Just wondering if we could start a list with some good movies on Netflix that most may not know about. The wind that shakes the barley is a good one about the Irish war and civil war.

Yes, this three part German TV min-series is on Netflix, but renamed ''Generation War'' in English rather than the German title of Our mothers, our fathers.
''The Flat,'' is an Israeli documentary film also on Netflix which I happened to come across - I was transfixed to it and would thoroughly recommend it too.
Best,

'The Wind that Shakes the Barley' is a favourite of mine. 'Hunger' starring Michael Fassbender is another very good one.
Netflix rotate movies so that a movie there this week may be gone the next week. Also it has different content for different countries. I usually watch netflix using Chrome browser and the free Hola plugin which lets you choose whichever country you want. US, Canada and Sweden tend to have the best content (imo).
I recommend the French Film 'Rebellion' about a colonial island uprising. Also 9th Company is pretty good.

Has anyone else seen 'Look Who's Back'? Still trying to make sense of it as it seems like a really strange film to be made and shown in Germany.
ETA Holy crap I just realized this was my thread from 2014[emoji41]
