Hi I'm trying to recall the title of a movie and can't so it's driving me mad.
It was made in 1940/50's it's about two british pow's who look alike. One is an officer with a bit of importance and money behind him and the other is an ordinary soldier . After escaping from the camp the soldier tries to kill the officer and thinks he has done and then he eventually gets back to Britain and assumes the officer's identity and manages to convince the guy wife and family. At end of war the real officer goes home and has to prove that he is the genuine guy.
Does this ring a bell with anyone.
