    Help with reference books

    Hello All

I would like to buy a sword sometime in the future and need to educate myself. What is a good basic reference for german swords (both Imperial and TR) or swords in general?

    Thanks

    Sword book!

    Hi

I believe Swords of Germany 1900-1945

    by John R. Angolia.

That book would be very good!

    What types of swords?

    Hope that helps!

I'll agree with Paul on this one..the Angolia book is the best one out there on swords, so if you're only going to buy one book on the subject, make it that one

      Best wishes & happy hunting!

Thankyou Paul and Skip for your replies. I will look for a copy of the book. I am looking to purchase a few examples of the more common types of sword (if there is such a thing). Nothing too expensive, just good examples from pre WW1 period through 1945. Thanks again guys for the help.
