I just purchased two books on S boots on line (Ebay) that I would like to share with you all.
The books are in Polish and I do not read or speak a word of Polish but I still enjoy these volumes because they are photo heavy and there are a number of photos that I have never seen before (some have been previously published) that are clear and show areas of the boats seldom seen. The diagrams and artwork is also well done.
There are some interesting uniform details shown in the various theaters of operations and a section is included on the depot ships. One photo I found particularly interesting was one of the foredeck of the S-14 showing a water cooled MG08/15 on the bow pedestal mount and a targeting computer in the foreground behind the forward bulkhead.
The books are paper back, the first 65 pages and the second 80 pages in length. In the back of each are fold out 1/100 scale drawings of the various types of boats. Color artwork can be found inside the covers.
They cost around $25 each and the shipping was very quick from overseas the the U.S. Below are the covers of each volume.
