That is why I'm sceptical...I've never seen one in a referece book or in person...how many would have survived the war? Not many in my opinion... I suspect they were either basically not marked or if they were, they have been faked.

By nature, I'm a trusting person, but not when it comes to SS helmets...no matter what people say, I feel few "good" ones made it over here. Look how many SS troops there were compared to Luft and Heer. IMHO... Skip

I started a new thread here, but I meant to respond to the SS helmet question of SS RZM -vs- the M40 DD issue. I still think most are fake that you see at shows and up for auction... However, I own a good one that has been "blessed" by the respected guys "in the know", and it is unmistakable once you know what to look for.... Skip
