Myself and a friend are about 50% done with a new Schiffer book to be out next Spring; Soviet Generals,Admirals, and Marshals Parade Uniforms 1943-1945.
It will be about 300 pages of some amazing items ( have a M1943 parade 4 star general coming in this week for it). We will also have some original photos of generals wearing these uniforms.
Thats where we need some help; we are looking for photos of any of the following:
-Generals or Admirals in M1943 parade uniforms
-Naval Generals in M1945 parade uniforms
-Unusual Generals M1945 varients in photos
-NKVD parade generals (NKVD/NKGB,Frontier,Rail)
-Admiral Kuznetsov in his M1945
-Admiral Yumashev in his M1945
-Branch Marshals in M1943 or M1945 uniforms
The principal photography by Bob Biondi ( same guy who shot W/N book back in 1998) is done, and I have finally finished the rough draft. We have a deadline from Schiffer of Sep 1, so its a bit tight.
So, if you have any shots you think we might be able to use, please let me know. You will of course get credit in the book.
