Reference Books - Ehrenpokal and DKiG

Hi,

I have never done any research before regarding individuals. I have studied the varius threads and posts on the WAF for a few years now and any questions I ever had have always been answered.

Like I said, I have never done research before on any individuals but I would like to start. The area I am interested in is the Luftwaffe. I know good reference books are key to this.

I have recently received two books regarding the Ehrenpokal. The first was Patzwall and the second was by Scheibert. For any other n00b like myself I have given the full name and title of the books below.


1) Klaus D. Patzwall / Der Ehrenpokal für besondere Leistungen der Luftwaffe 1940 – 1945

2) Horst Scheibert / Die Inhaber Des Ehrenpokals Fur Besondere Leistung Im Luftkrieg

I know these books are old, not up to date and not complete but if there are any other good reference books regarding the Ehrenpokal please post.

I have the reference books for the Ehrenpokal and I am now wondering about reference books for the DKiG. I have read through the WAF forum and came across several threads which are years old so any new books information with list of names would be of great interest and help to me.

The reference books below I assume are old, not up to date and not complete but would like to ask your opinions on them. I have never seen the books so I do not know anything about them. So if I wont to find out if an individual was awarded the Ehrenpokal and DKiG, I have to cross reference the different books which is fine just so long as there is a list of the names.

Are the books below helpful for this?

I've had 6 volumes on SS and Polizei DK holders (Gold and Silver) published to date with another one coming mid-year, but they are far from just a list of names

Thank you for the reply. In my search on the net the night before I started this thread I did indeed come across your books. I was very impressed but they dealt with SS listings etc and I am looking for Luftwaffe listings. I do realise that there is more to the books than just lists of names and your books would be an asset to any collectors library.

I also read some reviews that you had written about some of the books below which is another reason why I started this thread.
