For a good overview of the iron cross through its highs and lows, from 1813-1957 get your hands on "The Iron Time" by Stephen Previtera. You can have look at the overview on the publisher's website here:

    http://www.winidorepress.com/

For an extensive overview of the 1939 Iron Cross, a must is "The Iron Cross of 1939" By our very own Gordon Williamson

Bowen's book is in english, Geissler's ist auf deutsch. As to where you can get them, maybe Abebooks.com or some other such outlet has them. I'm not aware of any vendor selling them right now. You'll have to look around....

                            Ivan.

If you go to www.Amazon.com and search under 'Books' for 'Iron Cross' or 'Eisernes Kreuz', you'll get all the main books, both in English and otherwise, often at knock-down prices.
