Just as a follow up, I got one of my own, and I am certainly enjoying it. The 3-d part is really very interesting.

Ok, I'll keep it quiet... but you'll let me know if you find one that's not for you? I rarely have time to scour e-ban, and I haven't really seen them for sale elsewhere.

A shot in the dark, if any you guys have a double, you know where it can be unloaded

Seba, this volume and the "Soldaten des Führer's im Felde are probably the two most encountered examples of a large number of 3-d books produced in the 3rd Reich period. The "Kampf im Westen" one being the more common of the 2. Interesting note is that there were some differences in the 3-d pictures put into these volumes as the war progressed due to changes in the military command. Most notably in the volume you looked at, pictures number 76 and 77 which had v. Brauchitsch in them originally, were replaced with pictures of soldiers at a soup kitchen (no. 76) and a soldier with a deer during winter at the westwall (no. 77) after v. Brauchitsch fell out of favor. Earliest editions of this book had the text in Fraktur which was replaced pretty rapidly with normal print. There are also several color variations of cloth covering used. Most common is red cloth. The earliest issues have a dark olive green/brown and I have seen editions in a light olive green as well. Price for this particular book runs about $100 to $150 under normal circumstances and depending on condition and production run (v. Brauchitsch vs. the later editions where his image is replaced).

    München--Haupstadt der Bewegung 100 pictures
    Reichsparteitag der Arbeit 100 pictures
    Parteitag Grossdeutschland 100 pictures
    Grossdeutschlands Wiedergeburt 100 pictures
Tag der Deutschen Kunst 100 pictures
Die Weltausstellung in Paris 1937 100 pictures
Hitler-Mussolini Hitler's State Visit to Italy 100 pictures
Der Erste Grossdeutschland Reichskriegertag 100 pictures
Die Soldaten der Führers im Felde, Der Polenfeldzug 1939 100 pictures
Der Kampf im Westen volume to to the above title. 100 pictures This is the one you have.
    Fliegen und Siegen 100 pictures
Deutsche Plastik unserer Zeit 135 pictures

Keep an eye in eBan. Some of these titles pop up with some frequency.

The more NS oriented titles such as the RPT related ones bring some tidy sums of money. In fact, not too long ago, a member offered on the e-stand one of the RPT titles for sale. The asking price was in the 700-800 Euro range.

There are other titles in the series having to do with Venice, Italy
Wien, Deutsche Gaue, but I haven't purchase those.

    They are wonderful to behold.

They certainly are! I had not seen one before, and I closed the door to my office and spent all afternoon looking at it. I had a bit of a headache at the end (it's a little tough to focus at times) but the detail in the photos was breathtaking. If you ever come across one that's not for you, please keep me in mind.

    Thanks,

    Sebastian

Book "campaign in the west" with 3-D photos

It is period, and comes with glasses. I'll try to take some pictures of it tomorrow, but I have to say that I am very impressed by it. A friend from work brought it for me to look at, it is a book with pictures and glassed. The pictures look very detailed and real.

Have you ever seen a book with 3-d photos?
