Oscar Shindlers party badge

I watched "Shindler´s list" today and I have not thought about this until now but he is wearing the party badge in gold in the movie. That can´t be right, can it?

No, he didn't, and the gold party badge is actually just gold plated anyway so there is no way it would have been worth what the movie implied. Plus, Schindler was holding the military version, not the civilian version.

i think i read that he was not a party member , had just been released from prison for fraud and was in fact the manager of the factory not the owner,the saving of a number of jews then must have been more difficult for him ,all the more credit
