    Germany's combat helmets 1933-1945: a modern study

Just recieved my copy of this book by Ken Niewiarowicz and would like to recommend it to all!

Great full collor book containing all models and decals on Heer, KM, LW, wSS, Police and paratroops. Also camo and wire. Studies liners, chinstraps etc.
I especially like the chapter about pith helmets!

    So go and get it!

The first thing I noticed when mine arrived, was the section on piths, which I did not expect it to have, Awesome!!!

Would you recommend this book for somebody who is interested and willing to buy the first helmets or is there other lecture for the starter?

      Thanks guys!

I bought my first helmet at the recent MAX Show ( Luftwaffe M40 Q62 single decal), and I then purchased the book. I'm far from an expert, but I believe the book is outstanding, and a must for new or experienced helmet collectors.

Indeed a must have, together with Ludwig Bear's book: the german steel helmet

An essential reference work to have if you intend to collect helmets! I'm glad I bought mine when it came out.

Roger Bender's site lists the book as being Out of Print, but he may have copies in stock, priced at about $70.00.

Try www.bender-publishing.com and type in the name of the book in his search option.

                      Thanks guys
Seems I have stumbled on this one a bit late.
If anyone has a used copy for $100 let me know.

I was able to buy this oustanding book at a discount, during the MAX Show a couple of years ago. Glad I did!
So many Bender books become scarce and pricey not long after publication, and seem to be rarely, if ever discounted to any significant extent when newly released.
I only have one helmet, although I hope to add a couple more over the years, but this book is so well done that I decided to buy a copy.

I was lucky enough to pick up one of the last copies of this book from the publisher, and I will say it is neigh amazing. Greatly recommended- if you can find one for a non-exorbitant price. Mike, You'd love this book! Next time I come home on leave I may make a pit stop by your place and lend it to you!

Its a very useful volume, perhaps more so even than Baer's tome which is lacking in photos when compared to Ken's.
