    Can any body help.I been collecting German ww2 for last 25 years with a bit of ww1 but am looking to collect wwi medal groups as well as signal medals.I am looking for good reference books on medals in english can any body recomend any.

    I can't think of any in English. Mostly they are in German--and out of print.

    Nimmergut's "Deutschlandkatalog 1800-1945" with its accompanying "Bänderkatalog" is a good basic pocket book to start with--no text for award regulations or anything, but most awards are shown in black and white, with the ribbons in color.

    That's probably the best (and cheapest) place to start for you. These are available from German dealers on the internet.
