Hey guys. I recently ordered a book called: Detecting the fakes A Collector's Quide to the third Reich militaria by Robin Lumsden if i remember correct. What's your opinion about this book? From the comments on Amazon i understand this has to be a very good book for beginners.

That is a great book. I bought it years ago when it was first published and I still enjoy looking through it. Lots of good information packed into a small-format paperback book and well worth the bargain price. A must have for the newer collector, but even advanced collectors will find this book useful.

a good book to get as a basis. it`s quite a few years old now, so fakers have moved on and become `better`. there are still old fakes out there that it will help you spot, but , just because the item you are looking at doesn`t have any obvious red flags from the book, doesn`t make it good!.
but a good investment nonetheless.
