So we would meet these guys and so to speak compaire notes about what they used to get bigger and stronger. You can beleive me or not but they had the best of the best and they were cool guys,I could tell you stories you would not believe. All body builders and weight lifters as well as gym rats know a dealer that hangs around the gyms and sell steroids as well as other drugs but god knows where they come from.
This is all the time I am going to spend on this movie and wrestling. If you do not like what I said or believe me I really could care less.

Dennis; We do not claim to know more about wrestling than you,or Vince McMahon. Also,I feel everyone is entitled to their own opinion about a movie.I liked the movie ,and feel it shows the gritty side of pro wrestling.Have a good weekend,Kirk

If I was Vince McMahon I'd hate the movie too. This is what happens to all his circus animals once they no longer sell seats for him and he puts them out to pasture. Hardly a bias opinion to base a review on.

Now I know you are a mark anybody that knows the business knows what Vince and Lindia and even Vince Sr have done for their wrestlers over the years and what they are doing now more than ever before.Vince is no saint but he is a stand up guy and a is very good too his stable(wrestlers).Calling me a lier I do not care but when you make statments that you know nothing about makes me wonder about you.

        Have a good day

I never called you a liar, but I question everything you say because you keep changing you story. First you were in the movie for 5 minutes then left. Then it was 10 minutes. Then you say you didn't need to watch the movie because of the review someone else had.

Calling me a Mark when you know nothing about me is a bit dangerous too. You don't me any more than I know you., but at least I'm basing my opinions on the movie by seeing the whole thing and not just the opening credits.

Ok lets start over I was in the movie for a short peroid of time 5 or 10 min at the most after the credits.I did not like what I saw and did not want to be there Vince and Rick told me the movie was 50% and I could see how the movie was going and did not like it.I am sure you have gone to a movie and after the credits a short time later you just left because you did not like what you saw and had a good idea how the movie was going so you left. But when you say things about my friends for over47 years that are not true I will put the story stright with you are anybody else and saying that I do not believe you saw the movie at all sounds like you are calling me a lier. You are right I do not know you and you do not know me.Now that you know that I am not going to let you or anybody else say things that are not true about my friends with out speaking out you know me a little better whether you like me or not.

            Enjoy your hobby

I just find your opening statement ludicrous. Sorry, but I base my opinions on my observations, not others.

That's the problem with this world now days. People hear what someone else says and they jump on the bandwagen without using their own brain.

"Valkerie was the worst movie ever", that's what everyone had decided based on a few preconcieved notions and assumptions. It turned out to be a decent movie.

              See the similarity?

Mark;I agree with you that "The Wrestler" is not a feel good movie, as it shows the seedy ,dirty, depressing, side of pro wrestling. However,I was interisted in the subject matter ,and enjoyed Marisa Tomei, and Mickey Rourke's performances in the movie.

                      Dennis,
I'm just curious.....When were you a wrestler? Which years? I worked for 8 years in the WWF, when they first started out on TV. We must have met, because I was fairly good friends with most of the guys at Capitol, before they became the WWF, and I knew all the lifers.....If you had a ten year career there, I'm sure we must have met. Where did you go to school with Vince? High school or college?
I'll have to support your statements about Vince and Linda, because they are EXTREMELY good to their talent and crew (especially Linda, who really runs the business).
Having said that, if you've gotten on the bad side of Vince, you can count on being relegated to performing as a ham-and-egger, in small community centers, church halls, and the like, once your career at the WWE is over. Sadly, 6 out of every ten wrestlers follow the same route depicted in the film, and end up with no real money, except for what they might pick up at an autograph show, and that's only if they had any measure of fame, to begin with.
By the way, just for accuracy's sake, when you're a bad guy, you're a 'heel" rather than a "heal"....and Mr. Flair spells his first name "Ric".....

Let me know when you were there.

                      Bob.
I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous.....

                        Bob.
Bob I was there on and off from 1971 untill 1979 my last match was in the Field house in Hamburg Pa after that I was going to work with Vince Jr(not really Jr as Vince was Vince J Mcmahon and pin head was Vince K) on his music business but you know how that went.I went to Fishburne Military School with Vince and was in his first ever card he promoted. We had got into so much trouble we would be still marching today if we did not come up with an Idea to get rid of our tours so Vince put on a wrestling show using cadets as wrestlers. On top that night was a tag match between Ape Man Mcmahon,Dave the Bull against Rip Johnson (me named after Rip Hawk) and another soon to be wrestler named Tom Sullivan who later became Johnny Valient. The main office was at the Capital arena in DC and we did tv at the old Market St arena in Philly, after we taped tv that night we drove to Reading Pa and stayed at the Abe Lincon hotel and the next day we went to the fieldhouse in Hamburg(a small Borough)Pa.You remember in those days you would do from 5 to 6 matches a day because tv was taped and then sent out.
You are right heel is not heal and Ric is not Rick.I had to work both Baby face and heel from time to time. The main people when I was there was (I am only going to use first names as you say you know them.Bruno Champ then Bobby in 1978.Gino(Gorilla Monsoon)had the book and Arnold and Angelo took care of the back room and paying the boys.Andre The Giant ,SD Jones,Grand Wizard(Ernie Roth) Blassie,Walter Killer Kowalski and Karl Gotch.Walter and Karl trained me.Some of the other people there like Larry Z and still there Tony G and a host of others. In 79 and 80 things were up in the air as everybody wanted Bruno to take over the business and Vince with Linda wanted the business so you had (as you well know)Bruno's people and Vince's people. The rest is history Vice called me and told me when he and Linda had bought the business from his Dad for $250,000(some say he stole the business) .I could go on and on but I think you know that I was there and Vince and I to this day are still members of the "Hunchers".Trust me when I tell you Vince like him or not was born to be a wrestling promoter he was as crazy in school as he is now.On a final note the wrestling card we put on in school was a sell out just like now and I am the one that put the idea in his and Lindas head about using wrestling in pay per view like they did boxing.
When I was there it was the WWWF
