    Field Gear Book?

    Hello,

Has anyone published a comprehensive book on WW2 German Field Gear yet?

I have various books that have a few useful odds and ends regarding the topic, but not a dedicated book...

The only thing I have ever found is the old "Soldat" series by (Cyrus Hayes?), they are rudimentary, but a good beginners series of books.
Anyone who wrote a good, factual, and comprehensive book on German field gear would have a good market in my opinion.

Volume 3 of "Uniforms & Traditions of the German Army 1933 -1945 by Angolia (ISBN 0912138378) is a good place to start.

Although out of print and quite expensive through re-sellers on Amazon etc. copies regulary turn up in the books section on e-stand and ebay (got mine for £20)

The Soldat books Johnnie mentions are by Cyrus A Lee and in my opinion aren't worth bothering with.

      Hope this helps

      Cheers

Thanks for the name correction Ian. I havn't seen them for years. They are indeed rudimentary.

        Cheers,
        Johnnie
