    Windrow & Greene Books

Has anyone here bought any books from the Windrow and Greene series on famous battles?
I've got the book on the Somme (written and illustrated by Mike Chappell) as well as the book on the 1897-98 Northwest Frontier (India) Uprising, written by Michael Barthorp (who has written extensively on Victorian colonial wars) and illustrated by Douglas Anderson.
They are a lot like the Osprey books, but better, with quality color plates of the soldiers, and good details.
But, do you think they're worth the price? I paid over $50 for each of mine, about seven years ago.
A local bookstore has several copies of their edition on Monte Cassino, for $40 a piece, and I was thinking of getting it. But, that's a lot of money to me for a book nowadays, and I was wondering what others might think, in terms of accuracy.
    Thanks!

    Andy
