    Best Author

which author has done the best for the hobby, and which one has done damage?
    What are your opinions?

Roger Bender has done the most overall for militaria collectors, though he's primarily a publisher (but also an author). In some cases of well known militaria books, the name of the author on the cover isn't always the one doing the actual research or having the actual topic knowledge.

Again I ask the forum members, who has done the best for the hobby, and who has done the most damage?
