Can you make still photos from DVD's ?

I can paste the image in a program and save it..tried it as jpg,tiff,bmp..
All worked till I stopped the DVD..,then all images I saved turned to black..???

It's a problem with the video card's display buffers. Try turning off hardware acceleration on your card by going to control panel > display > settings > advanced > troubleshoot. Be sure to turn this back on when done with your DVD.
