New article about fighter ace Otto Kittel

    Hi,

The Air War Publications team is pleased to announce the release of our latest eArticle, a biography of Jagdgeschwader 54 ace Otto Kittel, available here. It was written by Russian researcher Evgeniy Velichko, and covers Otto's life and Luftwaffe career. He claimed 267 aerial victories between 1941 and 1945, and was particularly successful at the controls of the Focke-Wulf 190. Despite all his success, Oberleutnant Kittel would lose his life in February 1945 over Courland. Although he was one of the highest-scoring fighter pilots in history, very little has previously been published about him.

Evgeniy's article is 25 pages long, and features 26 photographs, three maps, and three colour profiles of Otto Kittel's aircraft. We are very grateful to the Kittel family for their assistance with the research for this article, and hope that our readers like what we have produced.

    Regards,
Andrew, Morten & Adam - Air War Publications
