    German MG-34 crew

    Hello everyone,
Just wanted to post a couple of pics of my most recent model. Its not really done yet...but they never are
This is an 1/35th MG-34 crew. I really wanted it to be an MG-42 crew but I had the 34 in my parts box. I am going to switch them as soon as I get a MG-42.
The figures are custom built from a plethora of kits (jaguar, warriors, and verlinden mostly). The door is scratch built and the base is from Gunze Sangyo "Friend or Foe"
I am just coming back into this after taking about 3 years off.
    Enjoy!
    Matthew

    pics reversed?

Were these pics "mirrored" or reversed I ask this because the mg34 is being fed from the right side instead of the left and seems the equiptment on their belts are on the wrong side shovel goes on the left hip breadbag on the right hip

      Good eye!

I noticed that I put the gear backwards after I had posted the pics!! I fixed it last night and will post more pics as soon as I get my new ammo fed from the other side. The bullets currently being fed into the gun are not even glued on they were just there to size things up. The ones I have now will be fed in the proper way and the empty belt fed through to the right.

I think I put the gear on backward because I made the gunner a left handed shooter?? maybe I just need to pay a little more attention!

          Don't change the belt feeding.

          - The MG34 could be changed into a right feeded version by changing the cover with the belt transporting mechanism. This was done for twin mounted MG34 on a AA-pod for a proper changing of ammo boxes.

          - This is an improvisational MG crew with one of this AA-MGs.

          - I don't think the gunner is a lefty, he hung his MP40 over his right shoulder. He just fire from the left shoulder yet because he had targets on the very right side of his range.

Thanks for the info....I thought I had seen an MG-34 fire from that side once but I couldn't remember. I will keep it just how it is. I will get some revised pics of the gear and new bullets I am going to put in as soon as I get a chance.

            Thanks again
