    Awesome plane! You need to start with something easy and learn so you can fly that beauty.
    Here are a few quick pics of my FW190, all dusty hanging from the ceiling. A/c is about a 35" wingspan, Fuselage is fibreglass, wing is built-up and covered, 3 channel, speed 500 (Magnetic Mayhem) with an Olympus beltdrive. I will probably switch over to a brushless setup if I ever do fly it. What motors are spinning those ducted fans on your 262?

            Very nice Brian!
            I have got brushless motors in the 262. Length is about 42 inches with a 34 inch wingspan. Looks like we both need to get them in the air! best wishes,

              hey guys can the 262 be converted to ducted fans (gas) And who makes the kit or is it scratch built? It looks real close to scale,Is it?

                Hi David, it is strictly an electric kit by GWS. The model looks real good but if you compare to some pictures of the real aircraft the designers have taken a few liberties, namely in the shape of the nacelle, and the positioning of the front nosewheel.
                Stuart MacKay models in th UK makes a ducted fan or turbine powered model that is really beautiful. However the size is too big for my storage situation. best wishes,

                    Dave,
                    I'm not sure you will find a 262 in this size that can be glow powered. It has been a while since I really looked around for different aircraft, my militaria hobby has surpassed all my other hobbies! Here is a link http://www.kamodels.com/
                    They have a ME262 kit that you might be able to convert to glow if you had the patience, but the brushless motors of today paired with the Lithium-polymer batteries are just as powerful as glow engines. Not to mention a lot cleaner, quieter, and no worries of having to have a fuel-proof finish.
                    Here is a magazine clipping I've had for years showing a 262 with jet turbines and Galland at the stick!

                      I can't believe that is a GWS ARF! You did an excellent job detailing. My first R/C plane was the GWS Zero, it flew like a brick. I recommend the Graupner Mini Piper http://www.hobby-lobby.com/minipiper.htm to start out with, you would not believe how easy it is to fly (and repair!)
