Just got back from a nice visit in Paris.
The Town Hall / Hotel de Ville just opened a new exhibition on the Liberation of Paris via artifacts, newspapers, and a very impressive compilation of film footage representing the 4-6 day window as the city was taken little by little.
It's all French language, but VERY interesting, if only for watching the film footage if there's a language issue. The nearby Museum Carnavalet is simultaneously hosting a photo exhibit on the same subject. (http://www.carnavalet.paris.fr/fr/ex...e-paris-expose)
The front of the town hall is ALSO hosting an exhibition on the role of the forest in 1914-1918 France during the war which is interesting.
If anyone's in town, plenty of interesting things!
