I was wondering is there anything WW1 WW2-battlefield related around the small city of Leuven in Belgium, reachable by bike within less than 1-hour? I know the city suffered heavily during both wars (when the library was burned down twice) but I was wondering if there is anything else War-related-interesting hidden in the fields around the city...?

Not sure if it's too far for a bike ride but what about the Dyle Line? A Victoria Cross was won there in 1940.

In case of need Google or Hugh Sebag-Montefiore superb book "Dunkirk: Fight to the last man" will tell you more about Dyle Line and it's relevance to the Battle Of France.
I should add that I haven't been there myself yet, but I am planning to go in the not too distant future.
Cheers
Ian
