Hi all,
this evening I went to pick up a propellerblade from a in WW2 shot-down aeroplane in the vicinity of Steenbergen in the Netherlands. As I was there I happend to have my digital camera with me so I went to the cemetery there and visited the graves of the famous (dambusters) pilot Wing commander Guy Gibson VC DSO DFC and Squadron leader Warwick DFC.
I made some pictures to share with you.
Whilst flying a Mosquito, they fatally crashed just outside Steenbergen in september 1944 (during operation Market Garden). The pictures showing the street names mark the area where they crashed, now a industrial area.
