I agree with you completely. Having one FSSF soldier, amongst other canadians would seem normal. But to only have FSSF soldiers? Not correct IMO.
But the FSSF is very famous and has had a movie made about it, unlike other canadian units. It is sad, but collector and military geek "fashion" has a big influence on what history is remembered and shown.

regardless of the reenactors, (who im not to found of during a ceremony like this) these scenes bring a tear to my eye to see my fellow countrymen honoring the sacrafices our soliders and families have made. I will be walking these hallowed grounds myself at the end of May, cannot wait to spend a little time there by myself, so i can have a prayer for these brave men in private.

And to think that Lady Astor labeled these brave men as "The D-Day Dodgers". If it hadn't been for the sacrifices made by these brave souls more German troops would have been available for use on the eastern and western fronts. Many of my regiment's men fought and died in the Italian campagne along with many of the 1st Canadian Infantry Division. Not to mention the number of American soldiers that also fought and died there

I am very sorry that you did not welcome the presence of the Reenactors in American uniform at the ceremony. Surely you are right, it would have been better to have Reenactors in Canadian uniform, but italian organization has thought about FSSF and I apologize (although I'm not part of the organization) if in Italy we have created some criticism in this part of the ceremony.
Surely I will communicate the impressions of some Canadian people to the organization and certainly the next time we do something different.

There is no need to apologise at all of course. But it is true that it might be slighly more appropriate to have men in a more typical canadian uniform, as most of the veterans who were there themselfs probably do not know about the FSSF.
By the way, I also have canadian nationality
