Iran is off the hook, no dog tags, not our problem, we don't have to pay survivor benefits...

If we had to pay survivor benefits for a period of 2500 years, it would be the ruin... Poor soldiers. Great empire the Persian. Nothing to do with today's Iran.

I would suspect that there are still remnants of Rommel's army scattered around North Africa. When I was a young teen in the late 60s a friend's father who worked for an oil company brought home a German visor cap that he had picked up in North Africa, I cannot remember which country but he claimed to have gotten it out of an abandoned tank. Looking back, I am sure that was to embellish the story.

Why not Denny. That's likely. The desert conditions allow a special kind of preservation due to the lack of humidity. And the 60s were close to the end of the war. I would believe that story.

I'd like to own one of those 2500 years old skulls. Mmmm, maybe they sell them. A piece of history... But being serious, we should show respect to those great 50.000 warriors who ended up their days caught under a sandstorm. They should take them to a museum along with all the relics found with them.
