    Polish/German signage in Warsaw

    Hi everybody,

I've embarked on a living history project that involves a portrayal of the Polish AK during the Warsaw Uprising. There are many aspects to this project, and one of them is the re-creation of some period-correct signage from the city of Warsaw in August 1944. The intent is to have a unique backdrop for public historic interpretation. These signs can vary widely--it would be nice to know what a street sign looked like, but some Jewish notice, maybe a small hotel sign perhaps would be ideal.

I'm having a hard time finding any examples of German/Polish signs on a variety of websites. I've looked through photographs here:

    www.warsawuprising.com

    and here:

    http://www.warszawa.ap.gov.pl/dtland...ka_glowna.html

and to the various albums on Flickr, but I still can't seem to find any clear images that highlight some city signage that's clear enough for me to reproduce.

Can anyone point me to some good images?

    Best,
    JJ
    Roseville, MI
