IWO & Okinawa Invasion Naval Grouping

    Gents
Nice WW@ Naval grouping from USS New York, invasion of N. Africa, invasion of IWO Jima and Okinawa. Gentalman was the information officer. The 3-d map of Detachment Island( code name for Iwo Jima) quite unusual along with numerious B/W photos of Bombing and Shelling Iwo, his 4 sets of uniforms, dog tags, sword/belt, giant maps of Okinawa about 4 ft by 3 ft all for the invasion, the New York fired 11,000 14 inch shells for the Iwo invasion.
Any ideas of this grouping value would be appreciated.
    thanks

Neat group! Unfortunately, unless it is Naval Aviation, submarine or some other interesting unit, or the man was decorated, WWII Navy groups hold a relatively low value. The best parts are the two edged weapons and the paper. Is the sword engraved w/ his name? The navy fighting knife looks almost mint, and is quite desirable. Also confused about the blue uniform. Shoulder boards are not typically worn on uniforms that have sleeve rank...what uniform is that? Without seeing all the parts and pieces up close, I would guess something around $1K. Maybe a bit more to someone w/ an interest in that ship or those battles....
