    Super thread
I'm really pleased to see that element of 3rd Totenkopf division had stationned near my house in France, Bourgogne. I live at 2 km from 'Montjalin Castle' and Sauvigny le Beureal (pics #76 and #80).
I'll try to take pictures of castle in few days. Great pics and be prood of your GrandPa!!!!

Hi Tiefgarage, like promise, i join pics of today Montjalin 'Castle'.
I met the owner of this big house, but unfortunately, it is not a family house.
Present owner bought it in 1985, so he had nothing to tell about date when Totenkopf units occupied it in 24/07/1940.
Pic # 76 showing 'diensttafel' is in entrance, under banisters stairs and pic #80 showing 'dinner' is in billiard room in ground floor.
        I join pics

Yes, Daniel is right. Owner (M. DELAFON) is owner of an helicopter and he took many pics of his 'castle' for various advertising.
When I met him yesterday, he gave me these aerials pictures. It was for show vicinity of castle to Tiefgarage.

                      How come?

I would indeed be very much interested to see that cover and tunic...

Could you try again please? It would be a great asset to this thread!

                      Thank you

Russian state Law? Are you kidding? Do you know how many envelopes with cash I had to give Russian officials to do their jobs, let alone to abide by the law? Which Russian laws are you referring to, and since when has a Russian law obliged anyone to do anything, more so any museum, or government entity? Your from Russia, you KNOW better, I think the two "new Russian members" know exactly what they are doing, and they know darn well that what they are stating while maybe written in Russian law, is NEVER followed...you are doing a disservice to the owner of this album by even steering him down this road.
I would sooner burn it then give it over to a Russian museum. The words "law" and "Russian State" have nothing in common, they are not worth the paper they are printed on, sorry to be overly blunt about it, but there is no law in Russia, and what law there is is decided by who has the biggest bribe. If you send this item to Russia, it will only be resold, and someone will make money...I advise against this.

P.S. It's interesting to see "new members" from Russia quickly advising you to donate this fine album. I think there is something more here than meets the eye. Proceed with greatest caution. I'm sure this will offend some Russian citizens, however, I am speaking as to the Russian Legal system, and not as to the veracity of the average person. Anyone that is from Russia or had business dealings and spent any considerable amount of time there would understand this.

P.S. The album is fantastic, it is quite amazing, and thank you for sharing it with us, it is simply incredible.

                              @ Scott A. Hess

I agree with them! I am very very careful.

Many WAF members wanted to buy the helmet cover and the albums. I sell however only hand to hand...and there nobody wanted to buy more.
                              What says that to us?

Here is the helmet cover. http://70.87.163.50/forums/showthrea...t=helmet+cover

                                Tiefgarage,

I think you should keep everything after all its your family history.
