    I appreciate you posting.
    Now that I've finally bought a good camera I suppose I'll become an associate member(though am not much of a joiner).
    You can easily see how the green C.S.A. belt buckle contrasts with the others.Guess I'll have to learn to live with it anyway since I'm also interested in specific relics to specific sites of origin.

      I think cleaning any early american plate would do a dis-service to the piece.

        Agreed. Never clean. IMO it looks very nice with the green patina. The history that comes with it is invaluable.

            had one of those, couldn't sell it, made it green with acid & salt sold it for 10 dollars
