    Another Blade Question

Okay, since my Ren Wax query generated no response, I will pose another related question. If I receive no response again, I promise I will simply become quiet on this issue and let this post slip slowly out of sight.

This is mostly just a question I am asking out of sheer curiosity to see if it is even remotely sensible to do what I prefer. How many of you are successfully putting NOTHING on your edged-weapon blades with success--that is without seeing the development of any corrosion, etc? I realize that the necessity to do more or less of something depends largely on the environmental conditions to which the blade is exposed. However, I'm just curious about how many of you use nothing with success, as this is really what I would prefer to do. Or, am I again just being plain stupid to even think of such a thing?

I was considering the Ren Wax, but I haven't gotten any opinions about the popularity of that at all. Maybe it's such a no-brainer to use Ren Wax that everybody thinks I'm joking. But, really I'm not. I always prefer to get multiple opinions before doing anything.

Thanks again to anyone who may respond,

    Chris

    Hello Chris,

I myself know nothing about preserving blades as I collect medals but here is a link to a thread that should tell you everything you need to know about dagger preservation. I hope it helps.
