I think my question is not something unique for collectors: how to repair a damaged medal/badge etc. case? The most common "injury" is a case cover broken off at the corners (see my picture).
The other rather common damage is torn strip of liner between the lid and bottom of the case (for cases, that have the lid fixed on one side - like flower war medals).
What shoudl I do with damaged - broken case lids? To glue them together with cyanoacrillic (sp?) glue? To made some "splint" or bridge from the inside? And what to do with torn liner strips / thongs?
