It came out of an estate along with some Civil War items and the story with it was the an ancestor in the family served in the Union Army during the Civil War and carried it while serving with the artillery.

This one was the topic of some recent discussion and I had to change my take on its identity. The consensus is that it is an Ottoman dress sword and I think probably associated with the Ottoman Navy, Victorian Era most likely.Comment

The next two came together from a museum that was closing its doors. First up is an English Cavalry sword that was recovered from the battlefield at Waterloo in 1825 when work was being done there.
By the way, it is still amazingly sharp.Comment
