    Westwall / Siegfried ring

    Hello everyone,
I've found this ring, in the 90's in a garage Sale in Boulogne-sur-Mer (North of France front of Great Britain) and try to have an idea of its value. It is engraved "Westwall 1939-40". As the Kriegsmarine was the major unit deployed in this area, maybe it owned to a kriegsmarine soldier, but I'm not an expert. The ring have been welded, but the work doesn't fixed the braking part. I've no idea of which alloy it is made for. Maybe silver, but I'm not sure.

If someone could tell me more about, any information will be appreciate.

Thanks a lot Tommes! Do you think it's a unique copy and a field made ring?

This one is made in masses.

And if you google "west wall ring" you will find identical rings for sale and in other collections. When I searched the rings they where not silver as I stated earlier but nickel or silver plated.

I've searched on Google and found other rings like mine indeed. These ones looks to be made of silver sometimes. Maybe I have to ask to a jeweler before sold this one to see if the ring is well made of silver.

Again thanks to you for your help!
