The Legionnaire Civil War period, gorrillo never had chinstrap. Your gorrillo, seems to have the chin strap and has been removed.

M26 (with wing) helmet

This is my little treasure from the Spanish Civil War.
A M26 helmet untouched. Pain coat "gris cemento" (grey cement/concrete)

The post war helmets, usually, are painted in olive green or "khaki" color and haves a metal loop in the front for the new spanish shield
