    I'm thinking that considering the location in his house, that it may be something as simple as a wooden structure, overlayed with skim-cote, plaster, or a thin cement.
    This is the common method for creating buildings of this type on all the sets that I've ever worked on.

    I may be mistaken, but I just can't imagine how yard-think concrete would have been poured in such a confined space.

    Whatever the method, it is MARVELOUSLY impressive!!
    I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous.....
